Carpooling as a trend is catching up amongst the Indian youth, so much so that it is on its way to becoming the biggest social movement of all times! The trend is increasingly gaining popularity amongst the youth.

The young professionals these days are seeking alternates to daily commutes to ease out their lifestyles. Be it for saving fuel and money, or making the ride less mundane by traveling with like minded people – carpooling has arrived but it still needs a slight nudge to get there!

And that’s where we come in.

sRide has been consistently supporting the core purpose of carpooling – making the cities clean, green and lessening the traffic. We encourage people to take part in the Car Free Thursday – Hyderabad every week and were also at the Hyderabad marathon registration to spread awareness, and award all those who helped us take the cause forward.

Addressing everyone – even on social media – can be a really hard task, and that’s why we wanted people to help us convince ‘other people’ that carpooling was the way to go. Some call them the good Samaritans, we call then the sRide Brand Ambassador.

And the Brand Ambassador of the week award goes to RAHUL BASU.

Yes, he has been helping us spread our message for more than a month now. And has impacted a lot of his followers to take the same route!

See what he did there?

No. He didn’t make a hype around his name. He actually made a difference to the environment and the way professionals are commuting on a daily basis. He did his part in making the city a better place to live. But, did you?

Here’s what Rahul’s weekly report looks like!

IMPRESSIVE RIGHT?

Here’s why you should make him your inspiration and become our Brand Ambassador:

1. You ‘actually’ help the city breathe

Everyone can talk about going green, but it is only for the brave hearts to take charge and make things happen! By carpooling on a regular basis, you decrease the carbon footprint in the environment and give it a chance to heal, and come back to its beautiful self.

2. You become an ‘inspiration’

Those who make a difference to the world around them, are often the ones who are remembered and taken inspiration from. When you start carpooling, and talking about it, you’re more likely to convince your friends to join the trend than anyone else – even us! You become their inspiration to do something about the things they see around them.

3. You ‘optimize fuel consumption’

Each of the resources available to us are to be used judiciously. But people today, seem to be forgetting that! When you inspire others to carpool, you actually cut down on fuel consumption. A car’s fuel requirement is definitely lesser than 5 cars on the road. Saving for the future? Yes, we need to.

4. You ‘save money’

Now the math here is pretty simple. When you share the cost of fuel a car is consuming for being driven from one point to the other, you save a lot of money that would have been spent individually had you been driving your own cars. It’s not just you who saves, but also those who travel with you. Sharing is caring, remember?

5. You ‘make new friends’

Another positive reason for becoming sRide’s Ambassador, is the opportunity to make new friends. Carpooling allows you to share the ride with people who are travelling in the same direction as you. Instead of commuting alone, listening to music, you actually end up talking and knowing more about your co-rider. And friends are made when you interact!

And of course,

6. You ‘win prizes’

We don’t just make you do all the hard work and not even appreciate for helping us spread the message. Firm believes of ‘motivation drives people’, we give away surprises to our Ambassadors every now and then – especially when they least expect it! Why? Because we like making their day!
