sRide, the smart carpooling app has now become the first of its kind to offer online payment through PayTM.

PayTM is India’s biggest automated payment system, that has been put to use in just about every aspect of life – except travel. With the changing trends and the importance of mobile increasing by the day, we decided to address the need of the hour, and offer our users something that they have all been secretly wishing for – online payments for their daily commute!

Carpooling is now slowly being accepted as an alternate means of daily commute – thanks to the long hours of lonely journeys back and forth from offices, and the maddening traffic even on the highways sometimes.

sRide becomes the 1st carpool app in India to offer online payment through PayTM.

Benefits of online transactions in carpools:

  • Riders can directly pay the car owners through online transfers, without having to sit and calculate shares of each member everyday.
  • Users can reduce their costs for gas, parking and maintenance, as they get to reimburse a fixed fee for each ride to the driver through a cashless payment system.
  • No hassle for change and keeping records of how much each member has paid for the trip.

And the most important of them all,

  • Helps avoid all the money talk and establish stronger relationships by giving the riders a chance to talk about fun things instead of how they are going to make the payments at the end of the ride.

The feature is live on Android and is soon going to be rolled out on the iPhone. Carpoolers can now simply redeem their points online through PayTM over the next few weeks!

If you don’t have sRide already, we just gave you the biggest reason to download it now!

Happy carpooling!
