Terms of Use

1. About sRide

sRide is a peer-to-peer carpooling platform that connects commuters travelling on similar routes. sRide facilitates the matching of drivers and passengers but is not a transportation provider. The actual transportation service is provided by the drivers who choose to share their rides through our Platform.

2. Eligibility

To use sRide, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid government-issued ID and, if driving, a valid driver’s licence.
• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable law.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@sride.co if you suspect any unauthorised access. sRide reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Use of the Platform

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Platform for commercial transportation or taxi services.
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive information.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Platform.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

5. Carpooling & Cost Sharing

sRide is a cost-sharing platform. Drivers may collect a contribution from passengers to share the direct cost of the trip (fuel, tolls). This contribution must be fair and non-profit in nature. Drivers must not make a profit from rides offered on sRide. Any transaction made outside the Platform is at your sole risk.

6. Safety & Conduct

Your safety is our top priority. All users — both drivers and passengers — must:

• Wear seatbelts at all times during a ride.
• Treat all co-riders with dignity and respect.
• Not travel under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Drivers must hold a valid licence and maintain their vehicle in a roadworthy condition.
• Report any safety concerns to sRide immediately via the app or at support@sride.co.

7. Ratings & Reviews

After each ride, users may rate and review each other. Ratings help maintain the quality and safety of the community. You agree to provide honest and fair ratings. sRide reserves the right to remove reviews that violate community guidelines or are deemed abusive or fraudulent.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including logos, text, graphics, software, and trademarks — is the property of sRide or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. sRide does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the Platform at all times.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, sRide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, including any harm resulting from rides arranged through the Platform.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Modifications to Terms

sRide reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
