sRide at Capgemini Hyderabad — Carpooling on a LEED Platinum Campus Committed to Net-Zero by 2040
On 13th August 2026, sRide concluded its four-day, four-company carpooling awareness tour at the Capgemini Hyderabad campus in Gachibowli — and what a finale it was.
Capgemini’s Hyderabad campus at Gachibowli is not just a workplace — it’s a statement. LEED Platinum certified by the India Green Building Congress and officially recognized as a “Green Campus” by the Government of Telangana, it is one of the most environmentally advanced corporate facilities in India. The campus has been a primary hub for Capgemini’s Financial Services and technology operations in India for over 16 years.
Globally, Capgemini is committed to net-zero emissions by 2040 — with a validated 90% reduction in Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions (SBTi). Employee commuting sits squarely within that scope, making carpooling a natural and meaningful part of the sustainability story.
The Event
The sRide team engaged with Capgemini employees at the Gachibowli campus, walking them through how the sRide platform connects colleagues commuting on similar routes. The conversations were energized — a campus this committed to sustainability naturally attracts employees who care about their environmental footprint, and many were already curious about alternatives to solo commuting.
The event reinforced a truth we’ve seen across all four campuses this week: when leadership creates the environment and employees are given the tools, sustainable mobility choices follow naturally.
Thank You, Capgemini Administration
We are grateful to Mr. Venkata Vemavarapu from Capgemini’s Administration team for enabling and facilitating this event on campus. His support ensured the initiative was well-received and that employees had the opportunity to meaningfully engage with sustainable commuting options. Thank you for helping close this week’s tour on such a high note.
Where Carpooling Fits Capgemini’s Net-Zero Roadmap
🏢 LEED Platinum + Green Commutes
A LEED Platinum building + carpooling employees = a genuinely end-to-end green workplace. The campus is green. Now the commute can be too.
📉 Scope 3 Impact
Capgemini’s 90% Scope 3 reduction target directly includes employee commute emissions. Carpooling is one of the fastest, lowest-friction ways to move that metric.
🌐 Digital Inclusion
Capgemini’s ESG strategy includes digital sustainability. sRide is a digital-first solution that makes sustainable commuting accessible to every employee, regardless of their location.
Four Days. Four Cities. One Mission.
Capgemini Hyderabad was the fourth and final stop on our August sustainability tour. Over four days, sRide engaged employees at Tech Mahindra (10th Aug), Coforge (11th Aug), CDK Global (12th Aug), and Capgemini (13th Aug). Each campus had its own culture, its own sustainability commitments — and its own community of employees ready to rethink how they commute.
The common thread across all four? A shared conviction that the future of employee mobility is smarter, more connected, and more sustainable — and that it starts with colleagues choosing to share the journey.
